Get answers to common questions about Basic Facial & Microneedling Treatment.
The session begins with a thorough cleansing and gentle facial, followed by microneedling using sterile needles. You may feel mild pricking and warmth. Treatment lasts about 60 to 90 minutes with minimal downtime; expect temporary redness and a short recovery period with proper aftercare.
You may notice immediate brightness and improved texture within days, but collagen remodeling and scar reduction develop over four to twelve weeks. Optimal results typically require a series of three to six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart.
Most clients tolerate it well; topical numbing cream reduces discomfort during microneedling. You may feel light pricking and warmth, with mild soreness and redness afterward. Communicate any pain to your technician for adjustment and a more comfortable experience.
Not recommended for active infections, open wounds, severe acne, rosacea flares, keloid-prone skin, recent isotretinoin use, or pregnancy without provider approval. A consultation and medical history review determine suitability and any necessary precautions before scheduling treatment.
Avoid harsh exfoliants, retinoids, and sun exposure for at least one week prior. Disclose medications and skin history. Arrive with clean skin, skip makeup, and follow pre-treatment instructions your technician provides to minimize risks and ensure best results.
Keep skin hydrated, avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks, and use gentle cleansers and SPF. Avoid active ingredients like retinoids and acids until healed. Follow personalized homecare and schedule follow-up treatments as recommended for continued improvement.
