We recommend hair be approximately 1/4 inch (about 6mm) long to allow the wax to grip effectively. If hair is longer, we may trim it; if shorter, we may ask you to wait a few weeks for regrowth.
Some discomfort is normal, especially during the first session, but pain is brief. To minimize it, avoid caffeine, exfoliate beforehand, consider an over-the-counter pain reliever thirty to sixty minutes prior, and communicate with your esthetician throughout the service.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles. With consistent waxing, hair often regrows finer and sparser. We recommend maintenance visits every four to six weeks for best, long-lasting smoothness.
Yes, many clients with sensitive skin can be waxed safely. We perform a patch test, use gentle products and techniques, and advise avoiding retinoids and strong exfoliants beforehand. Inform your esthetician about sensitivities or medications.
Contraindications include sunburn, open wounds, active skin infections, recent chemical peels, or topical retinoid use. Certain medications and medical conditions may require consultation. Share your medical history so we can assess suitability or suggest alternatives.
Prep by gently exfoliating a day or two before and avoid tanning or irritating products. After waxing, skip hot showers, saunas, intense workouts, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use soothing aloe or recommended post-wax care and exfoliate after 48–72 hours.
